T hese dynamic two-hour workshops are designed to help us discover and explore that river of creative ideas that runs through each one of us. Learning to take a "poetic perspective" helps us see situations differently, and come up with innovative solutions. The exercises also build confidence as they provide a new and powerful set of communication skills. The poetic process you'll learn here can be used by teams and leaders to kick off brainstorming sessions, summarize complex situations, and bring focus to core themes. It also provides a fun way to release tension and bring a group together.
There may have been a time when innovation was the occasional product of happenstance – a random inspiration or lucky hunch. But today we are expected to make innovation happen, by design. How exactly does that work? Experts agree that the first step to creative thinking is to get outside of your comfort zone, and explore new ways of framing a problem. We offer poetic techniques that serve as tools to see the elegant solutions hidden inside every "problem." You'll leave this workshop with a whole new set of tools that will supercharge your next brainstorming session, and help your team to bond, recharge, and get brilliant! We'll work with you to customize this workshop for retreats, kickoffs, and focused brainstorming sessions. Core elements of the course include:

But how does a company make its Vision and Mission statements more than just a poster on the wall or slogan on a coffee cup? This workshop explores ways to keep the Vision, Mission and Values statements alive in the everyday language and behaviors at work. Through "poetic language" exercises we'll explore the power of words; we'll practice techniques for finding the right words and using them effectively. The course includes:
I liked the energy and enthusiasm you brought to the workshop... I have no illusions I will be a great poet, but I found it’s not intimidating to write a poem! ...Loved the poetry flash mob too!... I’m really at a loss to come up with ways to improve it – the workshop was that good!
